Judges 19-21 A Sordid Affair

One cannot read this without screaming…WHY!! Is it included in the Word of God? God has preserved this that we might know the truth of Jeremiah 17:9: the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it? Only God. It truly shows us the depravity of the human heart. Jesus said; As it was in the days of Noah so it will be at the end of the age. Romans 1 reveals that men are so depraved, that God gave them over to their wickedness. He saw no hope and yet in this desperateness, God sent His Son. 

God’s heart is deep and wide and His promise is that Mat 18:14 In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that one of these little ones be lost. Also, God’s wishes are that all come to repentance for He is not willing for any to perish without knowing the truth of the gospel.

Today as you ponder this sordid tale, remember God desires that you come to Him and have your sin forgiven!
