Happy New Year and Welcome to 2024

Psalm 1 and 2

What are you looking for in 2024? Is it blessings from our Lord or are you still on the self made path? Listen to the words of the Psalmist: Blessed is the man that chooses wisely his path. He is discerning as the Spirit leads. In all of this he listens and looks for the Lord to direct His steps. 

The psalmist delights in the Law of the Lord…meditating upon it day and night. And because of that he will be firmly planted…not in the desert but by the stream where nourishment comes And when that tree is nourished, it will yield fruit…in its season..not before…not after but at the perfect time, As it is preparing for the fruitful season, it’s leaf remains full and strong. This is a picture of the blessed man 

The contrast is clear: wicked need not think they will produce fruit because they are not “planted” they are not “nourished”. Their leaves fall and like chaff blow away
