Wisdom vs. Folly

the spirit of wisdom

Proverbs 10 King Solomon was graced with the greatest wisdom ever given to man by a Holy God because he sought that more than riches and fame. What has God given to you just because you are His child and have not sought fame or riches? When all is said and done, what will be on your tombstone? Will it say with wisdom she/he cherished the riches of the kingdom of God or the will it say the one with the most toys wins (as the world says).

What are we to glean for Proverbs 10 but this: wisdom will reign supreme while folly fails every time. Perhaps that is why Psalm 1 resonates so clearly with this passage. Blessing comes to he who chooses to not walk, stand or sit in the seat of those who are ungodly. Instead, he chooses to spend his moments with and for God and that is his delight. The fruit of that is seen in Gal 5 with the Fruit of the Spirit reigning supreme in a person’s life. Proverbs 10 captures this in full color: the memory of the righteous is blessed.

Today choose to walk the way of the wise and not the foolish. Choose ye this day whom you will serve but as for me and my house, we will choose the Lord…E.V.E.R.Y. T.I.M.E. How about you?
