Psalm 35 Prayers

When you get a call or a note asking you to pray for situation, do you stop and do just that or delay because of busyness?  Today I got a call from a dear sister in Christ to pray and in reading, I came across this verse: “When they were sick, I wore sackcloth, and refrained from eating food.(If I am lying, may my prayers go unanswered.)” What a perfect example of what to do! So today I lift up this dear sister in Christ to do as David did.

What do you do? How do you respond to a prayer request? Today follow the example of David for one who is sick. This may be a physical sickness or some other need. David set aside his daily needs to minister to this one who had a present need. He didn’t get dressed up but wore garments that indicated his sorrow. He fasted and prayed for them. What a powerful example for us.

Today is Good Friday and a good day to model these thoughts and example of David.
