Faithfulness = Blessing

Hosea 11-14 Over and over, through this book, we have read the principle of Jeremiah: I have loved you with an everlasting love, that is why I have been faithful to you. [Jer 31:3] Yet, the nation of Israel has ignored that love and trashed it with other lovers who are faithless. God reminds them that even though He is angry and hurt, He has kept them in his heart, and He does the same for us—even when we sin. So as Hosea closes his treatise on Israel, he reminds them that the righteous live by God’s ways and are blessed, and the contrast is also true. Those who ignore God’s ways will stumble and fall. [Hosea 14:9]
