Exodus and the Harder Tests
Exodus 10: Pharaoh’s servants said to him, “How long will this man be a menace to us? Release the people so that they may serve the Lord their God. Do you not know that Egypt is destroyed?” Even the servants saw the hand of God but it did not change Pharaoh’s heart.
Exodus 11: Now the Lord granted the people favor with the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, respected by Pharaoh’s servants and by the Egyptian people.)
Exodus12:8 Israelites went away and did exactly as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron. Exodus 12:50 So all the Israelites did exactly as the Lord commanded Moses and Aaron.
God used 10 plagues to test the heart of Pharaoh and even though he saw the evidence of God’s hand, he hardened his heart unlike Job whose heart remained faithful towards God.
When God sends tests into our lives, do we harden our hearts like Pharaoh or are they faithful like Job’s?
