What voice are you listening to?

1 Cor 2 Today we are faced with those who would have us join them in believing that boys can be girls and vice versa. They also claim that unborn babies are not really babies. It is really heartbreaking to read and listen to these because they purport to be wise but Paul reminded the Corinthians and now he is reminding us that: “The unbeliever does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him. And he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.” [1 Cor 2:14] 

Did you grab that thought? If you are not one to believe that God is the One who orchestrates all of life and the origins of the universe, or that Christ lived a perfect human life, then died and rose for our salvation, you are not wise but a fool. Paul reminded the Romans that he who would claim to be wise is in reality a fool. 

Thankfully, God clearly has said that He sent His Son not to condemn the world but to save the world. He also sent the Holy Spirit to indwell each one who believes that He may impart wisdom that comes from God. “God has revealed these to us by the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”[1 Cor 2:10] Today which voice are you listening to?
