Remember/Forget
PSALM 25 Remember/Forget
Do you have enemies that pursue you? That is, not actual enemies but those enemies in our minds that seek to destroy our peace. These enemies are those sins of our youth that our arch enemy comes to have us rehearse with words such as, remember when, remember what. But, what he has forgotten is that God is compassionate and forgiving our sins of the past and has nailed them to the cross with the shed blood of our Savior. He has taken our sins upon His body and has chosen, as he did with the adulterous woman, I condemn you no more. Go and sin no more.
Blessed reader, when the enemy of our souls comes to seek to undermine your peace, turn to Jesus and hammer those sins to the cross where the Savior will forgive and forget. Then tell the enemy: “get thee behind me Satan, for I am forgiven.”
