There’s a new day coming
Jer 31 In 1933, song was published that must have encouraged many coming out of the Great Depression. It was called “A New Day is Coming.” Jeremiah was “singing” that tune long before this to the children of Israel as they sat waiting and watching the Babylonians build siege ramps outside the Jerusalem walls. They, like Americans, were asking, can anything good come out of this? Jeremiah repeated the words of God: “…is there anything too hard for Me? I am the Lord, the God of all humankind. There is, indeed, nothing to difficult for Me.” [Jer 32:27]
God reminded them that He is the Creator of all. He created all we see and experience in just seven days .If He could do that, He could and will bring them back out of captivity. God proclaimed, the sun rises and sets and His Word will never pass away. [Matt 34:35] What He has said, He will do. [Is 38:7]
He promises that because He loves us, not with a flattering tongue, but with an “everlasting love.” That is why He has been and will be faithful to us. [Jer 31:3].
Keep looking up, a new day is coming!
