“Persecution is Real; The Price is Staggering, The Benefits are Out of this world.”
Revelation and the Throne Room: Rev. 6, Rev. 7 Through the centuries since the early church began, thousands of people have believed, and thousands denied the story of the risen Christ. Those who did believe paid the price with their lives by saying, ‘Salvation belongs to God and the Lamb.’ Often worshiping in secret, they came face to face with those who turned against them. Jesus also experienced this when “many of his disciples quit following him and did not accompany him any longer.” [Joh 6:66] “They went out from us, but they did not belong to us, because if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But they went out from us to demonstrate that all of them do not belong to us.” [1Jo 2:19]
They willingly relinquished the Lamb and met persecution. Yet the believers down through the centuries understood and were willing to pay the price, remembering the words of the Master: “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” [Luke 9:62]
Now, John shows us the throne room in heaven where the ones that faithfully passed the test are standing garbed in flowing white robes made white in the blood of the Lamb. Will you be there?
