Not Knowing?

 Matt 24 Not Knowing…

Jesus teaches the disciples about the end times to the disciples who are enamored by the beauty of the temple before them. This is a reminder that we too are enamored about many things instead of being enamored about Christ. 

So then he tells them this: “And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man.”[Matt 24:39] This begs the question as to why Jesus said they “knew nothing .” He had been there, been preaching, been healing, challenged the religious authorities yet they knew nothing. Is it because just as Paul said “the enemy has blinded the minds so they cannot see the glorious Christ.” [2 Cor 4:4] Or is it because God chose this way so that when they stand before them, they will be without excuse as He will say “I never knew you.” 

Blessed reader, where are you? Do you know, do you understand the signs? Are you enamored about earthly things or the things of Christ and His church (saved believers)?
