Mark 3 The Heart

Over and over we see the work of Jesus as He performs miracles so they may believe but instead their hearts were hardened. He was grieved in his heart and we should be the same today. When a person says “I will not shed a tear” at the murder of one that reveals the true heart and I grieve, do you?  How is your heart today when you hear of the work of Jesus in a person’s life? Do you grieve like Jesus or speak words that reveal your hardened heart? 

Dr. Bailey sums it up like this: ““Having rejected the testimony of the Father, the Son, and now the Spirit’s miraculous authentication, nothing more could be done for the salvation of those religious leaders.” And that is true for those who reject the work of Jesus in another’s life. 

Pray today for softened hearts that the Holy Spirit might penetrate and bring them to salvation.
