Mark 10 The heart

Truly Jesus replied to the religious leaders that Moses wrote a certificate of divorcement because of the hardness of their hearts. Observe and understand this: rightly so Jeremiah wrote that the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. Only God knows the true intent of the heart. Fast forward in this chapter and see the purity of the heart of a child. Jesus pointed that out to the religious leaders that they might not just observe but also seek to have the heart of a child. 

Where is your heart today? Is it that of a child or hard as the religious leaders who knew the law but refused to obey it. Instead they sought to decide for themselves what is right instead of God’s way and they kept pushing the boundaries so they could ignore them and find themselves righteous. God said the heart is never right until it submits to God and His Law.
