From Sinner to Saint
Ephesians 1 to 3: No wonder the Ephesians wept on that shore in Acts 20, knowing that they would not see him again. [Acts 20:25] They wept because they would no longer hear his voice or see his face. They were the recipients of the grace of God, and their hearts were changed forever! Paul had written this to them that they might know the riches of their inheritance and how blessed they were because of Christ. God poured out on us not only the forgiveness of our sins but all wisdom and insight all because of His good pleasure.
Paul wrote: Beloved Ephesians know this truth: what was once a mystery has now been revealed. You once were dead in your trespasses and sins, but now, you have been brought near to Christ through the shedding of His blood. You once were a sinner, but now you are a saint! [Eph 2:1-9]
Oh, the depth and riches of His grace. His prayer for them was that they “may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.” [Eph 3:18-19] The world seeks peace, but peace only comes us by the price paid by Christ. [Eph 2:14]
Who is on your prayer list today that they may know these truths?
