10.28.24. Choose wisely

Proverbs 25 Words 

How many times have you, like me, said something and wished you could take it back? But perhaps if we concentrated on this chapter and verse 11 we would not be ashamed or even try to cover up what we have said. Verse 11 says this: “Like apples of gold in settings of silver, so is a word skillfully spoken.” 

Did you capture that idea? Words can shine like that polished silver platter in our cabinet or it will be silver that is tarnished. Before we utter any word, may we stop to consider the words we will be speaking? Do we consider the recipient of our words? Perhaps this verse should be ever most before us so we stand unashamed at the coming of Christ. I know for me, I needed this verse today and in fact every day! How about you?
