Introduction
Someone once said, “God created us in His image and we quickly returned the favor!” Dragging God down to our level, so to speak, is habitual with us, exposing our Eden-like arrogance and simultaneously seeding the futility of our thinking and living (Eph 4:17-19). It remains nothing more than our vain attempt to re-imagine God so that we might conscript His image for the baptizing of our own moral wisdom, life-choices, and overall purposes. In the end, having thrown off the truth, we accordingly lose God, ourselves and any lasting future, all in one, foul swoop. Has not the Lord Himself testified to our fraudulent behavior:
But, it doesn’t have to be this way! This is not the Pathway Christ has called us to!
It is arguably more rampant in our “day and age” than in any other in church history. Yet, as Moses, Jeremiah and Jesus all proclaimed, God is majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, and still working wonders! (cf. Ex 15:11). He is the One, true and living God, the King of kings and Lord of lords!
